About Live It
Jenny van Workum grew up on an apple orchard in Nelson, has travelled the world and worked in the private and public sectors in NZ and overseas. She works well with people from various backgrounds and across all levels of organizations. Before establishing Live It, she worked in senior H.R. roles providing coaching to managers and individuals.
The Live It philosophy came into being after Jenny had a health scare in her late 20s: "Live It for me is about choosing to do what I enjoy and challenging myself professionally while maintaining a work-life balance."
While at university, Jenny used to run mock interviews for friends and found she easily gained good jobs. “I have always enjoyed mastering the interview process and have a passion to share this skill with others, “ she says.
Her CV since she began her career in H.R. in the early 1990s is impressive and includes:
- Working for Anderson Consulting, London (now Accenture)
- First H.R. manager for a small London construction company.
- H.R. manager for the New Zealand Fire Service.
- Acting H.R. manager for Te Puni Kōkiri
- Project manager for establishment of Kimi Toa Takatini
- Contract provision of full range of H.R. services to business and private clients throughout New Zealand.
Jenny combines her years of experience with a Masters in Human Resources, Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources, Bachelor in Marketing and Diploma in Agribusiness. When required, she works closely with experienced Human Resource professionals to ensure excellent outcomes for clients.
